OUR FIRST EVER LIVE DRAW!!!

TECH DRAMA RIGHT ON CUE…

Friday night was a big milestone for us – our very first Fifty20 live draw. We’d practised, prepped, and even done a smooth test run earlier in the day.

Naturally, the moment the clock struck 9pm, our tech decided it was the perfect time to have a wobble. Typical!

Our rolling ball didn't display, and our wifi crashed just before. But luckily, albeit a few minutes late, we went live at around 9pm.

Myself and Izzy had rehearsed what we were going to say, but as soon as we went live… our minds went completely blank. Cue a few flustered moments, a lot of laughing, and the realisation that this is all part of the fun (and the learning curve). Neither of us have ever done anything like this before, so it feels exciting to grow into it together – and grow alongside our little business. Can you tell we were nervous?

OUR FIRST WINNER IS…

Our first draw featured a brand-new iPhone 16 Pro. We were blown away to have sold 46.7% of our tickets – way more than we ever expected for our first week. The winning ticket was number 313, belonging to the lovely Ania. Ania had 25 tickets for the draw, and at just 99p each, we think she definitely got her money’s worth! Especially considering the iPhone 16 Pro Max she won is worth £999 — talk about a great return on investment!

We couldn’t wait to give her the good news… until we discovered she’d accidentally typed her phone number wrong! So, while we couldn’t share the excitement live on the night, we know she’s going to love her prize when it arrives. One of my favourite parts? Ania selected the iPhone she wanted, and opted for the Pro Max in Titanium Black – a little touch that makes it feel even more personal.

FROM OUR HOUSE TO HIS…

Ania wasn’t the only lucky one. Stephen, who had stumbled across us on lottery.co.uk while browsing for EuroMillions tickets – ended up taking home the Seiko Captain Willard watch, proof that sometimes the smaller gamble pays off. His winning ticket was number 1919, and he’d bought 10 tickets in total. At just 79p a ticket, we’d say swapping £7.90 for a Seiko Captain Willard is a pretty incredible deal! We’re so happy Stephen wants to take the watch! It’s a prize that any watch enthusiast would be proud to own, and we know it’ll be in great hands.

I may have confidently declared that Stephen was Scottish, when in fact he’s Northern Irish. In my defence, the phone line wasn’t the clearest! Sorry, Stephen! Stephen’s schedule is a busy one, so we can’t hand-deliver his prize and meet him unfortunately  -  but he has sent us a selfie!

WILL YOU BE NEXT?

Despite the tech hiccups and on-camera nerves, it was a night full of laughter, adrenaline, and that buzz you get from making someone’s day -  the very reason we started this little venture in the first place.

This is just the start – and we can’t wait to see who’s names we will be calling next Friday night to give away the Tudor Watch and announce the 11 lucky winners of the Apple Fest. Could it be you?

Click here to watch our first ever live draw! It was a wonderful feeling of community coming together, so thank you, and see you next week at 9pm!
