When I was about to go to Uni my Mum’s biggest concern for me was if I was able to cook and that I would not go hungry. Given my previous experience cooking eggs, toast, chicken and beef burgers on a frying pan and putting chicken dippers into an oven I knew that I would be sorted for the rest of my life. But ever since graduating and not having as much free time or desire to cook after work and being a normal functioning human being who eats normal people food, my discipline with cooking dropped and my eagerness for takeout increased.

The long wait time with cooking stuff in an oven and the full concentration that is required to cook in a frying pan so things don’t get burnt were two big turn offs for cooking for me. But when my parents bought an air fryer to change things up, It became a big turning point in my life. I could sum up my life into three main events, being born, finishing school and getting an air fryer. I personally think getting married would not be as life changing for me as getting an air fryer would.

I would argue every single aspect of my life has changed since getting one or an indirect effect. Cooking is easy and my food doesn't get burnt. My concentration has elevated since I no longer must worry about multiple things being cooked at the same time and the right level of consistency. My stress levels have gone down due to not having to worry about how I plan to cook my next meal as well as my injuries going down since I no longer need to wade in front of a cooking pan with hot butter being sprayed back onto me. The meals I am cooking are healthier now because I can finally be asked to cook them, it takes less time for my chicken and chips to be cooked in an air fryer than if I were to go to Nando's and at probably a tenth of the cost.

My parents had a single slot air fryer but ever since I got the dual one, I genuinely don't understand how they were able to live and enjoy it. I fear as a species we are advancing too quick with technology that we cant even comprehend. I have always struggled with weight loss due to the extra focus and discipline required to cook but the air fryer has put me in the right direction.

Meal Prepping an entire weeks meals is finally possible and only takes 25 minutes and I am not even a part of the process, just do something else and let it cook. That’s another thing, I have more time to do other stuff whilst my food is being cooked in another I have probably saved 100 of hours doing other productive things like lying and watching TV, playing video games and doomscrolling all would not be possible without my trusty twin shelved companion.

But, I have lost a dear friend of mine. My Ninja has fallen in battle protecting my house from starvation and burnt food, he will receive a warriors burial and I hope his parts don’t go to waste. I cannot downplay the life changing event getting your first Air Fryer is and getting one for only 5p is too mental for my words to describe. Even at normal price at £199 you will get your use out of it one hundred fold.

If I were allowed to enter this draw I would and would get the max tickets, I am not saying that because I have to but because I truly believe it. Get involved and get your tickets for what is our greatest prize yet.
