I'm not the most superstitious person in the world but there were many signs that this draw was going to be cursed.

 

First I was presenting by myself and given what happened the previous week it seemed that me being anywhere in front of the camera was going to be an issue and not having the luxury with having a co-star that can take away any of my awkwardness or letting someone else speak when i didn't have anything to say.

 

But the draw started and for those that stayed to watch it was like watching a powerpoint presentation whilst being flashbanged every other frame by my alluring side profile, the Tag Heuer F1 was a popular competition for our viewers being one of our most popular watch giveaways yet, which was great to see. 

 

As opposed to the previous draw our rolling ball worked this time and the winning number rolled across the screen holding back the potential tears that would've come across my face if it were to fail. 

 

Despite riding this high the name and number of our winner took a bit longer than usual and when I say longer, I mean it didn't load at all on our backend for a good while. But we were able to reveal the name of the winner and get his number, it just took a few (hundred) more minutes than it usually takes and involved me looking into the camera like a deer in headlights waiting for the onslaught that would be the stream comments.

 

We attempted to call our lucky winner but sadly no one picked up, I wasn't sure if it was a blessing in disguise because I was on the brink of screaming and I don't imagine the potential conversation would have been all too pleasant for either parties involved. 

 

But still congratulations to Richard for winning the TAG Heuer Formula 1. A watch we all loved having in the office and admired. We are glad it has gone to a good home.

 

The following Monday we concluded it was Wifi issues which was a real shame that something as trivial as that was the issue. Then again we also did decide to stream on 3 platforms as opposed to our usual 1 so I guess it had a knock on effect to why the name of our winner was delayed and why our stream was being presented as a captain underpants flip-o-rama.

 

But we learn and move, hopefully next week will be better. Where we will be giving away our Hermes Apple Watch. Hope to see you guys there, (no matter what happens).
